HEIDI
Principal Designer, Owner of HSID, sports lover, and the reason why we are all here.

“A few things about interior design really light me up. First, I love tackling the unique challenges of each space. It’s like a puzzle that needs solving, and finding creative solutions is so darn satisfying. Plus, there’s a lot of psychology involved in figuring out what a client really wants and needs from their home, and I find that process really fascinating.

On top of that, I’m a total organization nerd, so I love putting my skills to work to keep business running smoothly. And, of course, there’s just something magical about playing with color and symmetry to create a cozy and inviting space. I get a real kick out of seeing the look on a client’s face when they see their dream home come to life and knowing that I had a hand in making it happen.”

GRETCHEN
Bookkeeper, foodie, and former floral arrangement specialist

“I have had the good fortune to work in creative environments all of my working life. I enjoy Interior Design for many reasons: color, texture, and detail-driven outcomes. I especially LOVE how many times a day my co-workers say - “oh, that is so pretty” - often in unison. They see beauty in so many things. It is inspiring to watch the process unfold, each project with a unique inspiration.”

MARTHA
Interior Designer, cake baker and lover of sunshine.

“Since I was young, I’ve been obsessed with interiors and how people inhabit their spaces. I can recall eagerly changing my bedding and requesting lamps and bookshelves for my birthdays so that I could create a more comfortable and inviting room. Even now, I enjoy rearranging my surroundings to optimize their livability. As a professional designer, I get to share this same enthusiasm to our clients. There’s something really special about creating spaces that speak to their unique needs and preferences. Designing for others is like showcasing art to the world and allowing it to speak for itself. What’s more, I am fascinated by the unspoken impacts of interior design - the way it can instantly brighten your mood or help you to locate what you need effortlessly. For me, interior design is more than aesthetics; it’s about function, organization, and ultimately, about helping you feel at home in your space.”
